My Secret Valentine

Welcome to Take One of February’s Secret Subject Swap. This week, 15 brave bloggers picked a secret subject for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our posts.

Your “Secret Subject” is:

Who would you secretly like to have as a Valentine and why?
It was submitted by: www.Bakinginatornado.com

Oh, geez. This is really asking me to bare my soul and jeopardize my marriage.  But, for the sake of this swap, I am willing to toss aside a decade of my life and all future security.

Ok...I would secretly like to have The Brain from Pinky and The Brain as my Valentine.

Pinky..................................The Brain

Yes, he's a cartoon mouse - but the love I feel for him will be enough to shatter conventional theories about couples.  Here are a few reasons why I pine for the murine:

1. He's driven.  He hatches diabolical plans on a daily basis to "Try and take over the world." What woman doesn't want to be on the arm of the leader of the world?

2. He's predictable.  Every day his best friend asks him the same question:
Pinky: "Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?"
The Brain: "The same thing we do every night, Pinky—try to take over the world!"
3. Adorable cockney accent!

4. Loyal to a fault.  Every single plan that The Brain has for world domination is ultimately ruined by the idiocy of Pinky.  Yet he keeps him around.  He's good like that.

5. He hangs with the cool kids like the Animaniacs.  Can you imagine partying with those guys?  High-larious.  I bet he's in with Phineas and Ferb too.  If they paired up - I bet he really could take over the world.

But, I can't get overly gushy about The Brain - you know - that whole "Til Death Do Us Part" oath thingy.... So, sending love in tiny cheesy morsels to you, Brain....

  1. LOL, I'm thinking your marriage is safe. Thanks for taking my lame prompt and turning it into a really funny piece. Phew, at least you didn't decide to be the 2nd blogger to steal the Adam Levine obsession. . .

  3. I love the direction you took with this prompt. Very cute and funny. Who doesn't want a dude you can put in a cage when he's annoying?

  4. Very nice. Every one gets their "plus one", right? Why not a brilliant cartoon character? Mine, BTW, is Brian Williams. That man can read a teleprompter like no other. :)

  6. A fun, and I'll have to admit it, completely unexpected choice from you! I was once a giant fan of Pinky and the Animaniacs. Great minds...right?! Love this!!!

  7. You did an AWESOME job with this post--very clever! I expected you to say something about Johnny Depp well..maybe that was just my fantasy . I actually owned 2 white rats as pets and that's what I named them-Pinky and The Brain. They fit the characters, and The Brain outlived Pinky by a year. Loved what you did with this post!

  12. Wow, awesome. Not sure I'd really want to pair up with a mouse, but you've kinda got some good points, especially about the whole world-leader thing. And if he doesn't dominate the world, maybe the Tri-State area...Glad I was able to stop by!

  14. If I was going the whole way of world domination, I'd totally pick Dr. Evil. I'm betting Dr. Evil and mini me could take on Pinky and The Brain.

  15. You have shown me another side of the Brain. I might have just had to fight you for him... if I weren't married... and if he were real.
